The Black Studio—a design venture initiated by designers Eugenio Rossi and Yaazd Contractor—has debuted a series of industrial-style lighting designs that explore the usability of materials. The duo combined "off-the-shelf components" and handmade neon tubes to engage in this experiment. The so-called "off-the-shelf components" include things like metal brackets, modular shelving components, electronic castings, and more. These were specifically utilized to give the industrial-style lighting objects "an intriguing gadget-like feel." Many of the objects included in this project are"usually hidden in architecture or you don't notice them." Such compositions, therefore, bring out the aesthetic potential, alongside the versatile functionality, of these objects to the forefront.
