About sixty college students from across the United States will be taking an eco-vacation in the Grand Canyon National Park during spring break this year. The group will plant thousands of native plants near the Canyon’s south rim in order to return a formerly blacktopped parking area to its natural state.
The students are part of the Student Conservation Association , a nationwide force of conservation volunteers who serve internships in resource management and conservation. The members serve in nearly 500 national parks, forests and public lands annually.
