The HTC 'Straylight' installation designed by the BAT (Between Art and Design) Studio was created with the intention of being a "giant rotating kaleidoscope selfie mirror vortex tunnel."
Although the photography studio seems quite dizzying with its 72 mirrored boxes and rotating mirrors, the concept it simple: enter and snap a selfie inside of this giant kaleidoscope. Prior to entering the Straylight installation, visitors are supplied with a phone from HTC. As much as any phone would in theory be able to take pictures in this tunnel, a custom app on the HTC phones provided makes it possible for people to rotate the structure with the orientation of the phone.
At night, the tunnel is illuminated, casting out beams of light to make the selfies even more unique.
