Camden Town Brewery's Strawberry Hells Forever is the beer brand's newest summer release which is all about sustainability and the benefits of urban farming. The beer's name is a nod to iconic Beatles song Strawberry Fields Forever and boasts rich and fruity flavor notes.
To bring the new beer to life, Camden Town Brewery recently teamed up with GrowUp Community Farms -- a sustainable farming brand based in London -- to ensure it was made with the freshest, local ingredients. GrowUp Community Farms' sister brand Rootlabs also helped make "the UK’s first brewery-based urban vertical farm at the Camden Town Brewery’s Enfield" a reality.
The installation means that Camden Town Brewery will grow its own strawberry supply which ensures less chemical and pesticide use as well as an estimated 90 percent less water use -- ultimately reducing the company's overall environmental footprint.
