I am officially declaring the airship back in action after seeing the Stratocruiser from NAU. NAU has designed a conceptual airship that would offer all of the luxury amenities of a cruise ship with the birds-eye-view only available from an aircraft.
Most aircrafts aren't conducive to leisurely and luxury travel. The Stratocruiser would make that possible thanks to its massive design that is surprisingly sustainable. The body of this craft would be made from carbon fiber with photovoltaic cells covering the retractable roof. The interior of the Stratocruiser is as luxurious as any cruise ship afloat with amenities such as a full spa, library and climbing wall. If you ever get sick of living in luxury you can always make your way to the deck and look down on the historic monuments or lush landscape below which, in my opinion beats looking at the big blue ocean for hours on end.
