Move over Jetsons and look out Marvin! NASA has found liquid water on Mars, and the rush to colonize should soon be in full swing. As soon as we figure out how to get people there without dying, anyway.
When the Phoenix lander touched down on Mars, it found more than the scientists at NASA could ever have imagined. The water that they believe was kept liquid by perchlorate sodium in the soil is way too salty to support life, but it does make the presence of “clean” water much more likely. So I am going to beat the rush and buy my first hundred acres as soon as I figure out how.
