The fight against single-use plastic is inspiring people to rethink all sorts of plastic products and Anova decided to provide a sustainable alternative to single-use plastic sous-vide bags. The Anova Precision Reusable Silicone bags are suitable for sous-vide cooking, as well as reheating and storing leftovers or preparing store-bought meals.
Thanks to the airtight seal it provides, the silicone bag can be rolled to close and used to withstand a wide range of temperatures from -40 degrees Fahrenheit up to 446 degrees Fahrenheit. The sustainable half-gallon bag is also dishwasher-safe, which makes it as easy to clean as it is to use, again and again.
Going forward, Anova CEO and co-founder Steve Svajian says, "Our goal is to have a fully recyclable or compostable vacuum sealer bag available by 2022. However, we didn't want to wait to start reducing our plastic footprint."
