Meghan Young — March 25, 2010 — Art & Design
Considering the slew of man-made floating island concepts I have come across in the past, I couldn't believe that the Soul Flora would be the first to actually be created. Surely there has been one before this? I guess not.
To be completed later this year, the Soul Flora floating island will be located in Seoul, Korea, on the Hangang River. Costing approximately $84 million, it spans 9,995 square meters and is anchored by concrete blocks on the bottom of the river.
