The average sofa bed design is chunky and not nearly as attractive as the UP-LIFT range from Prostoria. The design is an Interior Innovation Award 2014 winner and it's quite easy to see why.
UP-LIFT comes in the form of an armchair, which flattens into a comfortable single bed, as well as a loveseat, which can be turned into a double bed.
To form the bed, the top of the chair rotates to touch the ground and in the process, lifts the seat part to form the lower half of the bed. As compared to other complex mechanisms, this is an incredibly simple way to get a chair to turn into a bed.
