Portuguese design studio Alarquitectos presents a look at the new São Sebastião 123 apartment. It is defined by walls of pink and blue tones for a bright look. It was once a 20th-century office in Lisbon and is now converted to a modern living space. The team transformed the space which was dark and poorly ventilated into a more open space by taking down the existing partitions and adding a courtyard.
Co-founder of the studio, Mafalda Ambrósio tells Dezeen that "We envisioned the kitchen as a vibrant focal point, hence the striking colour of the kitchen box. We sought cool colours that contrast with the warm tones of the pine wood. This colour palette was inspired by the aggregates in the kitchen terrazzo, resulting in a deep blue with green pigments and a light pink."
