Laura McQuarrie — July 3, 2015 — Autos
With changes to the brand's headquarters, a new naming scheme and the announcement of small auto shops at both the Washington Auto Show and the NADA dealers' convention, Johan de Nysschen is steering Cadillac in a brand new direction.
These 700 new "boutique" showrooms will from Cadillac promise new technology, top-tier staff and luxury amenities. One of the most impressive features of the planned retail spaces includes a virtual showroom, where consumers would be able to customize the interior and exterior of a new car with interactive displays and holograms.
de Nysschen describes: "I am definitely going to be in disagreement with dealers who think they can sustain the business for Cadillac by selling Cadillac out the backdoor of a Chevy store," and believes that the implementation of these premium stores will upgrade the existing customer experience.
