Skylight by Denise Hachinger, an industrial designer based in Munich, Germany, is a simple pendant lamp inspired by the starry night sky. Although completely transparent it features a cluster of pinpricks that channel the beauty of these stars. Interestingly, the design can be considered more decorative than practical since it casts an indirect glow from the middle that illuminates the ceiling.
Taking on a domed shape, Skylight by Denise Hachinger bring to mind not only the globe itself, but also a planetarium. As though bringing such an immersive theater home, the light works best if the ceiling is painted a dark color, but can still make a lasting impression even if that is not the case.
