Shinji Konishi's Animal Hair Hats Are Frightening But Fierce
Marissa Brassfield — March 23, 2009 — Fashion
Shinji Konishi's animal hair hats are frightening. They blend traditional wigs with faux taxidermy for a wearable art piece that's sure to attract attention. Unfortunately, Konishi created these wigs in the hopes that they'd do just the opposite: "I wanted something poisonous," Konishi tells Vice Magazine. "I'm interested in things that make people look away."
He's not kidding. Shinji Konishi's animal hair hats feature polystyrene molds of elephants, dogs and rabbits, which are then covered with dyed hair. Eep!
