Korean designer Seungjin Yang stunned the furniture world in 2022 with a collection of seating that heavily drew inspiration from balloon shapes and childhood memories. Titled the 'Blowing' series, this capsule is acclaimed and exciting, drawing the eye in with unconventional silhouettes and an almost otherworldly finish.
Seungjin Yang's website states that the Blowing series "continues the artist’s ongoing exploration of a unique reality that is typified by bold colors and the pleasantly surprising stability of seemingly pliable materials." The collection is comprised out of a few silhouettes, including the beige Love Seat, the Lounge Chair 01 in Yellow, the Armchair 01 in Pink Gum, the Dining Chair in Black, the Armchair in White, and more. While most pieces are monochromatic, Seungjin Yang also spotlights a few multicolor options like the Blowing Stool 1.
