Carl's Jr. recently upgraded its dessert menu with the release of an ice cream sundae served in an edible bowl. When buying ice cream, customers are traditionally forced to choose between a cup or a cone. This tasty new dessert offers the best of both worlds with a waffle cone that doubles as a bowl.

The new Waffle Bowl Ice Cream Sundae was recently spotted at a Carl's Jr. location in Southern California. The dessert consists of hand-scooped vanilla ice cream drizzled with chocolate sauce and served in an edible bowl. The waffle cone bowl helps to eliminate any mess from dripping ice cream while also adding a deliciously crunchy texture to the sundae.

Although it is not clear if Carl's Jr. will roll the new dessert out nation-wide, it does demonstrate the chain's effort to expand its current dessert menu.
