Self-driving cars are no longer a thing of the distant future, and Google has been one of the companies developing them. Google first began working on autonomous car technology as far back as 2010 and unveiled a prototype of the self-driving car earlier in 2014, but this new prototype features a number of new specifications. The new iteration is fitted with a remodeled rooftop sensor module and fresh indicators and headlights, in addition to a more subdued gray paint job.
Like the earlier self-driving cars, this vehicle features mapping systems and sensor technology that allows the car to 'see' what's going on around it.
