Sarit Shani Hay Designs a New Playground in Tel Aviv
Amy Duong — April 26, 2023 — Art & Design
Design studio Sarit Shani Hay designs a new indoor playground with inspiration drawn from nature and the outdoors. It is made for the children of employees that work at an Israeli software company. The playground can be found raised on the 15th floor of a skyscraper building surrounded by large windows that overlook the city of Tel Aviv.
Although it is surrounded by an urban setting, the space channels a closeness to nature with references to the outdoors through the design language. To do so, there are large pieces of sea blue and forest green carpets on the floor. The same tones can be seen on the ceilings detailed with LED tube lights and it adds plywood and rubber for safety and shock absorption.
