Kids Talk to Mr. Claus Using the Santa Magic Phone Booth

To spread Christmas joy for the children of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the telecommunications company called Oi placed a Santa magic phone booth on the street.

Children were readily able to walk up to the welcoming green payphone, pick up the receiver and talk to Santa Claus. Jolly Saint Nick is impersonated by retired actors. The actors are able to watch the kids on a televised screen in order to see their reactions and respond appropriately. While the children are engaged in a heartfelt discussion with Kris Kringle, workers from the company would put presents behind them. Elves and singing choirs would also help to spread Christmas cheer.

Before the kids would hang up at the Santa magic phone booth, they were encouraged to press the star key causing a projected Christmas animation to ensue.
