Samsung announced and launched its newest digital wallet app, Samsung Wallet. This application is replacing both Samsung Pay, which allowed users to store payment cards on their phone, as well as Samsung Pass, the application for storing crucial cards such as health cards, gift cards, and membership cards. Samsung Wallet, though, will incorporate every single possible carrying card within a wallet, with the exception of cash and unscannable cards.
The Samsung Wallet app allows users to store payment cards, information cards, school and government ID cards, and more. One notable aspect of this application is its ability to store smart keys for cars. According to Samsung, users who drive certain BMW, Hyundai, Genesis, and other cars will be able to use their phone as a digital car key for unlocking and starting their vehicles.
