Sainsbury's Local is headed to the Edinburgh Airport -- the busiest airport in Scotland -- to provide travelers with access to a wide range of goods to make their experience a little more enjoyable. The convenience store concept from the grocer comes as part of the airport's initiative to revamp its food, beverage and shopping options for passengers as well as staff. The shop is located before security checkpoint with multiple entrances for ease of access and will also be open 24-hours a day to serve travelers and staff around the clock.
Sainsbury's Edinburgh Airport Store Manager Jordan Mudie spoke on the new Sainsbury's Local saying, "My team and I are thrilled to be open for business in Edinburgh Airport from today – after months of work to get everything ready, we’re ready to help and serve our new customers 24 hours a day. We’re passionate about providing good food for all of us and we’re delighted to be able to bring Sainsbury’s tasty, great value products and helpful service to customers form this fantastic airport location. I’m really grateful for all the support we’ve received along the way and I hope everyone likes the new store as much as we do.”
