Hello Computer created a robotic artist that takes inspiration from the impressionist brushstrokes and style of painter Claude Monet.
To showcase the future of art and technology coming together, Hello Computer taught the industrial robot FANUC to create in the style of the legendary artist. To add an even more impressive element to the exhibition it created in Moscow Sokolniki Park, the Robot-Artist was accompanied by a kiosk that let passersby scan the colors of their clothing to be integrated into the artwork. Over the course of just a few weeks, the Robot-Artist made over 55,000 brushstrokes.
As well as showing off the agility of industrial robots and the many ways that they can be programmed, exhibitions like this offer an imaginative look at how problems of the present may be solved in the future by bots.
