Foodie and artist Nawaporn Pax Piewpun hails from Thailand and is known for recreating recognizable characters out of edible materials, and these colorful Star Wars rice balls are a perfect example of her talents. The 3D works of art are shaped into popular characters from the sci-fi saga made entirely out of edible foods such as ice and seaweed.
Piewpun's creations are incredibly detailed despite being miniature in scale and they offer a whimsical yet temporary appeal since they are made out of fresh foods. Each character is made using sticky rice that is left white or colored according to the character and rolled into shapes to recreate the aesthetic of characters such as Stormtroopers. Detail is added through piece of seaweed and veggies cut to resemble eyes, mouths and costume embellishments.
