If you're looking to add some vintage flair to your home, why not go for one of these psychedelically retro wallpaper designs from Studio Job?
Ranging from crazy colorful to somber and subtle, the new line of retro wallpaper designs by Studio Job founders Job Smeets and Nynke Tynagel will add depth to any room and a hipster cool feel. The design team raided its archive and combined them with newer drawings, icons, images and patterns to develop its new line of nine-meter archives wallpaper collection for NLXL.
The beautifully crafted collection comes in seven different designs that include Industry, Labyrinth, Perished, Alt Deutsch, L’Afrique and Withered Flowers, and is made using non-woven paper with a matte finish.
"The plain white wall behind a painting is an idea from modernism," says Smeets. "In the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, it was not uncommon to present art on very ornamented silk wallpaper. But let me put it another way: with this wallpaper you no longer need any paintings. Viewed in this way, per running meter, it is relatively cheap art."
