As announced at this year's CinemaCon, ReelXperience Entertainment proposes that by 2017, movies will no longer be the main attraction in going to the theater.
The startup-movie company plans to create a high-tech interactive movie theater experience inspired by amusement parks by 2017. Along with immersive 360-degree screenings, other interactive film experiences will give visitors the chance to interact with actors in character. With props, people attending a movie would also be able to live out parts of a movie on a stage, making it possible for them to step into the shoes of a character themselves.
In the hopes of increasing theater attendance and making the movie-going experience more exciting, ReelXperience Entertainment is now looking to partner with movie studios to make this concept cinema real.
