The Alfi armchair is a design put together by Jasper Morrison of Emeco as a stylish and modern take of the traditional cushioned seat made from reclaimed materials. The chai features an amalgamation of recycled products used to create an environmentally friend seat that reuses unwanted products.
The seat is a modern spin on an armchair that often features cushioned padding, leather upholstery and a large structural shape. In contrast, the Alfi chair is sleek and linear opting for straight lines and a minimalist design. The seat features a rounded plank back, four tall legs and curved inward arm rests to provide the same comfort as a conventional armchair in a much more stylish and simplistic aesthetic. The material used is collected from industrial waste and transformed into a durable wood fibre and polypropylene blend.
