As recycling and reducing waste become important top-of-mind consumer issues, Danish designer Fritz Hansen and Japanese designer Nendo teamed up to deliver the NO2 Recycle, a versatile and supportive chair made from upcycled household plastics. The multipurpose chair, awarded the EU Ecolabel, boasts both upper and lower back supports stemming from its signature dual curve design. Because the NO2 Recycle is made with upcycled plastics, it can also be effectively recycled at the end of its lifespan, further cutting down on material waste.
The chair's contemporary design fits into any space, but works particularly well in commercial dining settings, university lecture halls, and corporate offices. The NO2 Recycle comes in eight versatile variants, ranging from rolling armchairs to tall counter stools, and is offered in six slick colors: light blue, grey, off-white, dark orange, dark red, and black.
