RareForm Makes Unique Action Sports Accessories from Billboards
Rebecca Byers — November 21, 2012 — Social Good
RareForm is a sustainability focused social enterprise that manufactures surfboard bags from billboards. The unique and eco-friendly line of upcycled bags are chic and creative products that sustain the environment.
RareForm intercepts the billboards before they make their way to landfills, then washing, cutting, and sewing into their designs. In addition to surfboard bags, RareForm also makes change mats and paddle bags from upcycled billboards.
RareForm has plans to expand their line to include backpacks and tote bags, and hopes to set the trend in a community they say is largely environmentally conscious. Officially launched two months ago, their products are available in several retail locations in California and online through their site.
