Raoul Fall 2014 Fashions Mix Unusual Inspirations

The Raoul Fall 2014 collection made its debut at New York Fashion Week in a fairly unassuming manner at the Stanley H Kaplan Penthouse. The collection pulls inspiration from decades past, which can be seen in a 70s-style full length, long-sleeved emerald green dress and mod black and white geometry from the 60s. As well as the eclectic mix of patterns, colors and fabrics, Raoul’s Creative Director Odile Benjamin also cites sculptors, art movements and meteors as inspiration.

Despite the diverse looks in the collection, one element that was uniform throughout the presented looks was the hair and makeup, which included tousled tresses and smoky eyes for all looks, including elegant evening wear and Jackie O-inspired coats.
