Rick Owens showcases the EDFU collection designed for the Spring/Summer 2023 season following his recent travels to Egypt. This was a big inspiration behind the capsule, inspired by the movement of the country's cultural aesthetics that stayed in place throughout the years despite the long passing of its creators.
There are extreme aesthetics that transform the capsule, which is true to the designer's often avant-garde work. The wide range of technical apparel includes inverted jackets, shirts, pants with ripstop nylon materials, and the use of Dyneema, which is known to be one of the strongest textiles in the world. There is also the notable food by-product of Amazonian fish skin used and bright palettes of pink, green, and purple.
