Design firm Holloway Li has taken on a redesign project elevating and altering the interiors of the Puro Hotel located in Poznań, Poland. The team integrates natural materials and modern furniture and completes the space with locally sourced art in order to capture a layer of history. The Poznańian culture and craft heritage serve as the main design inspiration for the redesign.
The co-founder of the studio, Alex Holloway shares the design notion with Dezeen, noting "We took inspiration from Poznań's craft heritage, from the streamlined forms and luxurious carriage interiors of the early twentieth-century trains produced in local factories to experimental 1970s glassware. The aim was to create a layering of history that business travellers, tourists and locals could enjoy."
