Product managers from Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Walmart and Airbnb have come together to create a “Product Manifesto” – a unifying set of values for all Product Managers.
The Manifesto outlines a list of principles that cover the entire process of product creation, from ideation to execution, assessment, iteration and improvement. The principles are structured around the universal problems that all Product Managers inevitably face, such as “How to identify product opportunities,” or “How to prioritize and ensure tactical execution.”
Created in an iterative manner using the same processes behind the industry-leading products they work on every day, the working group undertook a structured 5-stage process to author the Product Manifesto and incorporated feedback and ideas from a diverse group of Product People. Product School is now inviting members of the broader product community to affix their signature and be part of Product Management history.
