Niantic and The Pokemon Go Company are set to collaborate again on the second annual Pokemon Go Fest. Dubbed 'A Walk in the Park' the Pokemon Go event will once again take place in Chicago, but will now be at Lincoln Park instead of Grant Park. The event will take advantage of the nearly two miles of paths in the park, with Niantic providing various booths and activities along the trail for players to engage with. The Pokemon Go Fest event will also bring an increased amount of rare pokemon to Chicago as well as specific events.
In addition to the main event in Chicago, Niantic will also provide “connected gameplay events around the world” for those that cannot attend the festival. These worldwide events will include in-game activities and challenges but no further details have been presented yet.
