Here's your chance to take action and show the leaders of the world that you care and are deeply concerned about the wellbeing of our planet. All it takes is one hour of your time and doesn't require you to do anything but flick off your lights.
On March 29, 2008 @ 8 p.m. the World Wildlife Foundation International (WWF) will be holding an event called Earth Hour and will have participants from cities all around the world. All major cities participating will encourage businesses, community leader and individuals to turn flick off your lights for one hour.
Starting in Sydney about a year ago, this trend caught on. Spreading rapidly around the globe, London and San Francisco happily picked up the trail. Sydney saw 2.2 million people and with Aalborg, Aarhus, Copenhagen and Odense in Denmark; Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney in Australia; Suva in Fiji, Manila in the Phillipines, Tel Aviv in Israel, and in the North American side, Toronto and Chicago, all participating I think the numbers will be drastically higher.
