In addition to making plant-based milk beverages from almonds, Mooala (pronounced like "Koala") is now making its own 'Bananamilk' in both Original and Chocolate varieties.
True to its name, the nut-free, dairy-free vegan milk is made with a base of bananas and roasted sunflower seeds, which is sweetened only with cinnamon and seasoned with a pinch of salt. In the case of the Chocolate variety, cocoa is added for flavor.
The Mooala brand was first launched by Jeff Richards in 2012, as he sought better products to deal with his own difficulty of digesting milk. Mooala's Bananamilk is the newest addition to its lineup, which were unveiled at this year's annual Natural Products Expo West show in California.
