PHTAA Designs House R3 as a Blocky Structure with Curving Glass

Bangkok-based studio PHTAA designed a stunning and blocky pink residence in a compact roadside site in Thailand. Spanning 400 square meters and named House R3, the structure is captivating in its aesthetic, and PHTAA's implementation of curving glass walls is definitely an aesthetic highlight of the project. The pink residence spans five levels, each serving distinct functions, and is equipped to accommodate a family of five.
House R3's design promises to deliver privacy and noise mitigation. For example, the road-facing facade features solid concrete panels to shield the interior. The opposite facade boasts floor-to-ceiling glass walls facing a quieter street. These glazed areas "curve inward," creating a visually dynamic and wavy facade. A unique triangular terrace is carved into the main volume of the building.
