This fruit in plastic campaign consists of a peeled tangerine in a plastic box, which was presented with: "Peruvians who believe in a modern and healthy Peru. Reinventing the use of plastic harmoniously with nature to promote healthy fruit consumption." A video from the campaign says: "Can you imagine what could be easier than eating a tangerine?" and a very controversial slogan: "As fresh from the tree."
All this led to the criticism of thousands of Facebook users because there was no reason to bottle it and less to sell it for almost a dollar when the kilogram costs the same. This only creates more pollution by unnecessary use of plastic. Many people thought it really was a launch campaign, but the aim was to sensitize people. Another video was released that said: "The Practifrutas are not a social experiment. They are all that outrages us an artificial life, who does not think health, or food, or in nature, nor on the planet." With this the 'Practifrutas' campaign explained that it really wanted to promote healthy eating all along.
