Patta and Coloured Goodies Join Forces on Diverse Dolls
Patta and Coloured Goodies work in collaboration to support underrepresented cultures with a specially created doll. The Dutch fashion label joins forces with Amsterdam-based label Coloured Goodies, which is known for creating dolls that capture a diverse range of skin tones.
The latest collaborative project features a brown-toned doll and the doll is wearing a custom Patta sweatsuit in forest green. This also highlights an angle of sustainability as well -- the doll and the outfit it sports is made from deadstock Patta fabric. The small doll also wears a pair of Vans checkerboard slip-on for a sporty design element. Coloured Goodies founder Ellen Brudet talks about the collaboration, "The moment they came to me I thought, this is great. The main reason was that Patta is black-owned,” [...] But my personal reason was that they have longevity in entrepreneurship like me.”
