Vendor stalls at festivals and events are often plagued by their single-use design that usually doesn't get reused, so the 'Plexus' parametric pavilion has been created to offer a more customizable alternative.
Designed by the Studio Symbiosis, the pavilion is achieved using just two components consisting of nodes and connectors that can be interconnected to create 1,000 different stall variations. This would allow vendors to create a customized stall that suits their needs, while also enabling them to collapse it upon completion of the event to be used against when required.
The 'Plexus' parametric pavilion was explained further by Founding Partners of Studio Symbiosis Britta Knobel Gupta and Amit Gupta who said, "It is designed as an intricate network, whereby a series of simple components, based on aggregation principles, can result in a new design of the display booth for every exhibition, and also a new brand image. Designed as a universal model, this system can adapt to nonstandard stall sizes and to a differentiated product range."
