Aloha's Special Edition Pa’akai Bar Supports Sustainable Small Farms
Laura McQuarrie — March 20, 2024 — Lifestyle
The Pa’akai Bar is the newest special edition bar from award-winning B Corp and Climate Neutral Certified brand Aloha and it boosts support and awareness of small farms that operate sustainably.
In Hawaiian, “Pa’akai” translates to “solid ocean” or “sea salt” and the sea salt in this bar is made with a process that yields some of the purest salt in the world, which also boasts abundant trace minerals, a lower sodium concentrate and a less salty flavor. In this plant-based protein bar, sea salt is joined by Ponova oil—a Fast Company 2023 World Changing Ideas Awards innovation—and Hawai’i-grown macadamia nuts from Hamakua Macadamia Nut Company.
10% of proceeds from every Pa’akai Bar sold will be donated to Kupu, a nonprofit empowering future generations to create a more sustainable Hawaiʻi and Pacific.
