The Ovetto Recycling Bin, designed by Italian architect and designer Gianluca Soldi, is a great piece to help us recycle more efficiently. It was shown at the 'All Things Design' portion of the London Design festival, which ran from September 13-23.
Ovetto is the Italian name for an egg. Since it was meant for recycling, the materials used for the Ovetto are recycled as well--recycled polypropylene, a material in carpeting and ropes. The bin is built with three compartments for organization. To easily identify the materials contained in each receptacle, appliqué stickers are included.
