Entitled 'the garden which is closest to god,' this stunning viewing platform is a recently installed rooftop space above Amsterdam's oldest structure, the 13th century era Oude Kerk (Old Church). The whiteout platform offers sweeping views of the city from its Red Light District location and adds to the church's unique modern additions, such as De Koffieschenkerij, a quaint cafe located on the ground floor.
The viewing platform at Oude Kerk will remain open until September 6, 2015 and requires a purchased ticket for entrance. 'The garden which is closest to god' viewing platform is held up by scaffolding and offers a delightful view of the city given that the Old Church towers over much of city's low structures.
The stunning platform at Oude Kerk was designed by Japanese artist Tatsuro Atzu.
