London's Battersea Power Station has been undergoing many new architectural and design updates and the latest to join is the Lift 109 Viewpoint. This is designed by Ralph Appelbaum Associates and it is seen at the top of the newly rebuilt station. It was also revamped with the help of the architectural studio WilkinsonEyre.
It boasts the name Lift 109 as the lift takes visitors exactly 109 meters up in the air to see the city and power station. It opened last week, and Phillip Tefft speaks about the new attraction. He states, "It is a captivating, narrative-led journey that immerses visitors in the power of Battersea and transports them upwards into the light, emerging from the chimney top to an astonishing panoramic view."
