Orbillion Bio and Luiten Food have announced a new partnership that will bring high-quality cell-cultured meats to over 35 countries across Europe by 2025.
The partnership is aimed at filling gaps in the market and offering more sustainable, healthier proteins to be more widely available for consumers to purchase. This will also enhance the roughly 1,750 products available via Luiten Food's premium meat assortments and also bring Orbillion Bio's products to more than 1,200 distribution channels.
The Orbillion Bio and Luiten Food partnership will be part of a larger market for cell-cultured meat, which is expected to scale to $450-billion by 2040 on a global level. The products require up to 95% less land, 78% less water and produce 92% fewer greenhouse gas emissions than conventional animal farming.
