Opening Ceremony introduces its latest collection designed for the Fall/Winter 2022 season. It is inspired by Humberto Leon, the brand's co-creative director, and his recent experience opening the new Chinese-Peruvian restaurant Chifa in Los Angeles. The new range is designed with food-related graphics and playful details throughout.
Leon states that “This collection really pushes the creative boundaries of fabrication—how we perceive material and how to apply it to a style, what bodies and silhouettes can we create with that material. We used jerseys in 90% of the collection but in unexpected ways. What appear to be cable knit sweaters or mohair knits are cut-and-sewn and treated jersey pieces. Polar knit fleece is a new medium to construct a tailored suit,”
