Lyft is Adding NYC Public Transit Info for a Cohesive Experience
Michael Hemsworth — July 23, 2019 — Tech
Rideshare company Lyft has announced that it will be integrating NYC public transit information into its app in the coming months as a way to provide users with a holistic way to navigate the city.
The update will provide real-time access to where users can catch a train or bus in New York City, which will allow them to make choices that better suit their lifestyle regarding how they get around town. This could help them to save money by not calling a ride if traffic is heavy and there's a public transit station nearby that will get them where they need to go.
Lyft has also announced that in addition to NYC public transit information it will also provide access to Citi Bike docks to let them know if there's a bicycle available for them to rent.
