The National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) will be joining FIFA 23, as an official announcement by Electronic Arts was made on Monday. It was noted that 12 NWSL teams will be joining the game and available to play within the game next week as of March 15th with the help of a licensing partnership between the league and the NWSL Players association with the company.
The 12 teams of the league and the female athletes who play on these rosters will be part of the franchise in the upcoming future as well, including the foreseeable rebrand to EA Sports FC that is happening later this year. As of March 15th, all the teams will be available to play in the Kick-Off game modes and Tournament mode, as well as Friendlies, and Online Seasons.
