Note Design Studio created two opposite versions of the same couch silhouette. Dubbed the Core and the Remnant seats, the opposing couches are at once opposite and complementary designs.
Note Design Studio plays with negative and positive spaces for these couches. The Core sofas and armchairs feature a solid base, while the Remant lounger is hallow. Both designs are part of a wider collection called Void Matters, based on the same basic form.
The design studio approached the process for furniture in the same way as one would a spatial project. "We have a space, so what do we fill that space with... what happens when we remove matter from the space?" the designer aptly questions.
