The November 2021 tech trends consist of a wide variety of innovations, some of which were developed to improve day-to-day life, while others were designed to facilitate the exploration of entirely new ways of living -- typically, by breaking down barriers between the real and the virtual. As a result, this collection includes an eclectic mix of gimmicky gadgets and groundbreaking developments. Robot dogs, fast-food chain NFTs, AR-enabled glasses, and health monitoring t-shirts are just a few future-forward items included in this list.
Once again, a standout theme this month was the prevalence of new developments in the space of NFTs and the metaverse. Facebook announced that it will be changing its name to 'Meta' as it embraces the burgeoning virtual reality space, while metaverse platform Decentraland hosted its first-ever multi-day music festival. Elsewhere, TikTok launched its first-ever NFT collection dubbed 'TikTok Moments,' while McDonald's China released the 'Big Mac Rubik's Cube' NFT --the company's first blockchain-based collectible.
