Nordstrom's fur ban will be put in place for 2021. As consumers become more conscious, they demand brands to be held accountable. The fur trade has been held under a microscope for years now, with shoppers demanding designers use faux fur alternatives instead of participating in unethical practices.
Nordstrom is responding to this seriously, going as far as to ban the sale of any product that was made with real animal fur and exotic animal skin. In an official statement, the brand said "“As part of our ongoing product evolution, we’ve been working with the Humane Society of the United States and recently made the decision to stop offering products made with genuine fur or exotic animal skin in any of our stores or online.”
