Catherine McNeil stars in 'The Bride' editorial for No Name Magazine's #1 issue.
Far from being your typical wife-to-be (think natural makeup, chic up-do's and extravagant matrimonial gowns from the likes of Vera Wang), McNeil channels a different type of newlywed. Specifically, she appears to be channeling 'The Bride' from Quentin Tarantino's action film 'Kill Bill.' McNeil, like Uma Thurman, is a woman on a mission; however, whether it's a mission to avenge an attempted murder remains up for debate.
Ultimately, McNeil turns the "blushing bride" trope on its head with these black-and-white photographs shot by Dario Cantellani. She looks, at best, dangerous, and at worst, practically deadly. Throughout the editorial, McNeil wears interpretations of "bridal" (ruffles, white) interspersed and/or paired with battle-inspired leather gear. Tousled locks and a cigarette complete the look.
